On May 1st our class looked at different parts of a picture and trying to read the picture. We also looked at a bunch of civil war photos. these helped us understand the civil war better. We looked at pictures of the people who were in the war. We also took one picture and looked at certain parts of it by breaking it down and looking for clues. Then we looked at the big picture.all together. After this we made educated guesses on what was hwppening in them.
On may 2nd we watched many short movie segments. These movie segments were about some of the major battles in the civil war and they had more pictures of the civil war. It was very intersting because we got to see pictures of real people in the civil war. You could try to guess on how they were feeling. There were also some letters form the soildiers that were read. This helped us understand how the soldiers were feeling when they went into the war.
